| | Property Description | The house is spacious and stands in it's own sloping grounds on an elevated site above the working village of Madic. It has a comanding view of the surrounding woods, hills and fields. Cattle bells accompany the cicades on summer evenings as the sun sets between the facing hills.
There are 2 double bedrooms, sitting room, dining kitchen, washroom and bathroom with a shower over a traditional baignoir. There are 2 WCs. These are all on 1 floor.
The kitchen is fully fitted with gas cooker, fridge freezer, grilling microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and pots/pans, toaster etc. The sitting room is furnished with a 3 piece suite, English T.V., a CD and tape player, books and games are in the sitting room. Both bedrooms contain a standard double bed, wardrobe, drawers and mirror. There is an extra single bed in one room.
Duvets and pillows are provided along with duvet covers and pillow cases, towels and tea towels. The house is fully centrally heated also there is a wood burning stove in the living room. | | Property Location | The Artense region is one of hills, woods and deep river gorges. There are many attractions in the surrounding area.History abounds in old romanesque churches, chateaux, museums of mining and leather and the old town and village centres.
Water sports are well catered for. There are several swimming pools within a few miles of Madic. Vedettes trips and sailing is available on the lake behind the barrage at Bort, and the Hydro-electric plant can be visited. There are various other "base nautiques" in the surrounding area. Winter sports are available at Mont-Dore and Super Besse, cross country ski-ing is popular at both resorts. A little further afield is "Volcania". Walking in the Monts Dore and Cantal mountains is also very popular. The Dordogne gorges are nearby where there is canooing at various points.
