| | Property Description | L'Ecurie adjoins the owners home and provides accommodation for 2 people, but there is room for an additional single bed or cot should they be required.. All bedlinen is supplied and extra pillows and blankets are available if required. Towels for use at home are provided, but please bring your own towels for days at the beach or the swimming pool. Fresh bedlinen and towels will be supplied weekly for guests staying for more than 1 week.
There is a television, with French channels and a sky digibox for the free-to-air UK channels, a DVD player with a selection of English DVDs, a music centre with a selection of CDs or you can listen to Nostalgie, a French radio station which we find very acceptable. You will also find a supply of books and games should you spend a day relaxing on site.
The well-equipped kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. There is a cool box and ice packs for days out with a picnic.
A welcome pack is provided on arrival to enable guests to land and relax immediately with a glass of wine or a cup of tea!
If you are arriving after the shops have closed then please let us know of anything you will need and we can shop for your first evening. Some shops in Gemozac are open on a Sunday morning, but the Supermarket is closed. The bread van visits La Maison du Puits every other day except Sunday and arrives between 9:30 and 11:00am, you will hear the horn when the van arrives.
We have a basket full of leaflets providing information on different places to visit and things to do for both adults and children. There is plenty of parking, so no long trips with luggage or shopping. | | Property Location | You will find us in the Charente-Maritime region of France, just 4kms from junction 36 of the A10 autoroute. The town of Gemozac is approximately 15 km from the Gironde Estuary with beautiful beaches which stretch from Meschers, Royan and La Palmyre and beyond to the Cote Sauvage.
If you fly and hire a car, we are just 1 hours drive from the airports at either Bordeaux, in the south, La Rochelle to the north or Angouleme to the east.
For those who like to have the convenience of their own car, we are between 4 and 5 hours from the Port of St Malo. |
