The Cottage is available all year round separately, and in the months of July and August only can be rented along with the rest of the Peycibeau Grande-maison, creating a magnificent holiday home, sleeping 14 to 20 persons in absolute luxury.

| | Property Description | This luxury holiday cottage is contained within a wing of a magnificent stone-built manor-house. The Peycibeau estate, situated 8km from the medieval town of Sarlat in the heart of the Dordogne region of south west France, includes 42 acres of private parkland and woodland, which offers a holiday in perfect seclusion and tranquility.
The owners, who moved here from England five years ago, maintain the house and grounds to the highest standards. This is reflected in the holiday accommodation, which has been recently decorated and furnished. Everything about this preoperty is home-from-home! There is a large sitting room, incorporating a newly fitted kitchen, including a dishwasher, fridge, oven, hob & hood, microwave, and all the necessary kitchenware. Also in this room are a large dining table with chairs, a dresser, sofa bed, and a radio and television (for viewing DVDs which are available). There are two comfortably furnished bedrooms, one with a large double bed and the other with twin beds. Four persons, therefore, can be accommodated perfectly, and a fifth person could sleep on the large sofa bed in the sitting room. A washing machine is also available, together with a cot, high-chair, and an iron etc. There is also Wi-Fi internet connectivity available - not only in the cottage, but also by the pool!.
There is a large bathroom, with a bath and a separate shower, basin & WC. All bedding and towels are provided and during the cooler months, there is central heating in all rooms.The guest wing of the house has completely private access, with an entrance through French windows at the front, and also a door to the rear garden, where there is a secluded terrace (with BBQ) and a path leading to the heated swimming pool, which is daily maintained. (Although members of the resident family use the pool, private bathing times can be agreed on arrival.) Guests staying in the cottage are also invited to make use of the wonderful summer house next to the swimming pool, which has a shower-room with a steam-shower, a bar/lounge area, traditionally built bread-oven and BBQ with stone-built chimney and a dining area - all of this offereing a delightfully al fresco dimension to your holiday at Peycibeau! Entrance to the property is through electric gate and there is ample parking close to the house. | | Property Location | Although the property is secluded, and this is undoubtedly its main attraction, only 2 kilometers away (a few minutes by car or bicycle and 15 minutes on foot) is the picturesque village of Carsac, with the best Boulangerie (bakery) for miles around, and many other amenities, including a butchers, general store, chemist and post office, restaurants and a bar/tabac. The Dordogne river is a few minutes further down the road, where there are quiet banks to bathe, fish or canoe, and only 8 kilometers away is the wonderful, historic town of Sarlat. Nestled between the Dordogne and the Vézere rivers, in the heart of the Perigord Noir this region of France is studded with medieval villages, châteaux, prehistoric caves and many other places of interest. Sarlat, the capital of the Périgord Noir is the most stunning medieval town. The twice-weekly market in Sarlat is one of the very best in France. Not too far away are the elegant cities of Perigeaux, Bergerac, Cahors and Brive. The wine-growing regions to the south and the west are havens to explore the local wine chateaux, estates and vineyards. |
